Here are some examples of what I work with my clients on. My practice is highly flexible and allows me to meet your needs as they come. That being said, I never lose sight of the goals we set at the beginning of the process. As you may see once you start investigating, many of the solutions boil down to the same things: examining the origins of our thoughts and feelings, questioning the ones that hold us back, then building up the self-confidence, self-worth, and self-love enough to let go and make a change.

Career Transition

Are you unhappy with what you do day in and day out, but don’t know the next step?

Do you question the paradigm of working for financial security at the expense of your sanity?

Good, keep questioning. It’s hard to give up something good to go for something great. We often prioritize future happiness over enjoying our lives now. And that makes a lot of sense. Maybe we’ve had a job that was even worse, maybe we’re afraid to leave the security of a paycheck, or maybe we haven’t identified something that makes those fears worth getting over. Whatever your situation, let’s dive in and get you started down the path to doing what you love.

Anxiety Management

Do you often feel restless or nervous (your heart flutters, your chest tightens, your stomach hurts, etc.)?

Are you bombarded by anxious thoughts and feelings of fear that prevent you from doing what you want?

Are you sick of people telling you to meditate, because you can’t imagine a universe where you’re capable of sitting still?

Coping with uncertainty is one of the hardest things about being human. So we bend over backward to avoid it, even when it holds us back. Anxiety creates an illusion of control that provides temporary comfort. It helps us feel like we’re prepared for anything that might happen. But no amount of preparedness can give us permanent inner peace. The key is cultivating it amidst the chaos of life. And, no, you don’t have to meditate. It’s hard work that requires vigilance and persistence, but the sooner you start, the sooner you take back the reins.

Relationships

Do you want to be in a meaningful relationship, but don’t know where to start?

Are you in a relationship, but often find yourself questioning whether it’s right?

Relationships can provide some of life’s most joyful, meaningful, and passionate moments. If you know you’re not getting that, it may be time to look deeper. Sometimes, we aren’t finding what we say we want, and that requires getting clear on what we’re looking for. Other times, we have good relationships, but, again, we’re afraid to give up the good to go for the great, especially when it involves disappointing or hurting someone we love. The first step is to start believing that you (and that other person) deserve the best there is out of life.

Changing Patterns

Do you feel like no matter what you do, you always get the same result?

Do you struggle to make good habits stick?

Do you keep dating the same type of person or experiencing the same job dissatisfaction no matter where you work?

You are starting to see patterns around you - the same problem keeps showing up. BUT WHY?! Well, fortunately, or unfortunately, our lives are governed by programs we’re not conscious of. It’s like we’re a computer running software that we didn’t program, don’t understand, and dislike the results of. So, how do you re-write it? First, we need to get to know the existing code and the programmers. What’s with that line about “in order to be successful, I have to…?” And who threw in “I can’t be myself if I want to…?” Once we know what’s going on behind the scenes, we can work toward different results.

Cultivating Self-Love

What happens when you look at yourself in the mirror? Is it a search for flaws followed by a parade of insults?

Is your inner monologue a stream of negative self-talk that makes you wish you could turn it off or change the channel?

Do you struggle to create time for meaningful, nurturing self-care?

Almost everyone I talk to experiences this phenomenon. Modern life seems to reward us for working harder and harder, putting ourselves last, and putting ourselves down in the process. Many of us consciously or unconsciously believe that taking care of ourselves is selfish, self-indulgent, and frivolous. We think that when we take time for ourselves, we’re taking it away from the things that matter. Well, guess what: you matter. And the more time you put into loving yourself, the more that love multiplies and energizes you to be better for the people and projects in your life. Like any practice, developing self-love takes work. But it’s the most important, beneficial work you can do. I promise. Let’s talk about how adding self-love and subtracting the idea that you’re not worth it will change your life.
